Sophon Sarum Welcomes Southern Health Officials to Lamปลายมาศ Model 2026

On September 25, 2026, Parliament President and Speaker of the House of Representatives Sophon Sarum welcomed and delivered a special lecture to a delegation of public health officials from five southern border provinces who visited Amphoe Lam Plai Mat in Buri Ram province to study drug suppression and rehabilitation systems.

The study tour involved more than 80 participants, including provincial public health officials and hospital directors from Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat, Satun, and Songkhla. The delegation aimed to learn about comprehensive drug rehabilitation frameworks, covering recovery processes, behavioral modification, and vocational skill training to ensure recovering individuals can sustainably return to society.

Mr. Sophon revealed that the visiting delegation consisted entirely of public health personnel, including provincial health officers and hospital directors, exploring the project titled "Uniting Love and Faith for Integrated Drug Problem Resolution" in Lam Plai Mat and five other districts in Buri Ram such as Nong Hong, Khu Mueang, and Phutthaisong, following evaluations of various other locations.
