What started as a fleeting spatial tablescape for the opening dinner of Amsterdam Fashion Week 2026 has officially transformed into a series of collectible design objects. Natural stone brand SolidNature and Dutch designer Sabine Marcelis have unveiled a limited run of sculptural candleholders, allowing users to arrange individual carved stone modules into custom setups that mimic the fluid motion of an open flame.
This collaboration builds directly upon the design vocabulary established during their acclaimed Beyond the Surface installation at Milan Design Week 2023, which featured a striking seven-meter dining table made of six distinct travertines. While that architectural showcase anchored a monumental scale, this new commercial collection brings natural stone onto tabletops to directly shape interior ambiance through Marcelis' signature focus on geometry and material transformation.

Refining the runway concept, the commercial release focuses on two distinct stone variations: Honey Onyx, which features a natural translucency that lets ambient light filter through soft orange surfaces, and Sunset Dune Travertine, characterized by an earthy red tone and porous geological textures formed over millennia. The candleholders come in two lengths of 500 and 650 mm, maintaining a uniform width of 100 mm and height of 150 mm across four unique variations limited to 100 pieces each.

Carved entirely from solid stone blocks, each candleholder features a distinctive curved silhouette designed to accommodate three standard dinner candles. Because each individual cut reveals completely unique veining patterns shifting from sharp linear streaks to soft cloud formations, no two pieces are alike.
