- AI frontrunners achieve 3x higher ROI than followers
- Generic AI falls short, requiring tailored Custom AI solutions
- Strong workflows are essential before implementing AI systems
As artificial intelligence rapidly transforms the global business landscape, corporate leaders are no longer debating whether to adopt AI, but rather how to integrate it effectively into operational processes to gain a competitive edge.
During a seminar titled Transforming Business Software with Microsoft Cloud & AI Platforms, experts from four leading organizations—Microsoft Thailand, GoPomelo, PEAK Account, and Ingram Micro (Thailand)—gathered to share practical lessons and strategies for sustainable software enhancement.
Parinya Sinkueakul from Microsoft Thailand presented global research from IDC showing that organizations leading in AI adoption generate three times the return on investment compared to followers, deploying AI across an average of seven departments. He emphasized that generic AI fails to create a true competitive advantage, necessitating Custom AI tailored to specific industry contexts.

Microsoft also outlined three core concepts for success: AI in the flow of human ambition by embedding tools like Microsoft Copilot into daily applications, Ubiquitous Innovation enabling employees to act as citizen developers via low-code platforms like Copilot Studio, and AI Governance ensuring strict safety and monitoring protocols.
Successful organizational AI transformation relies not only on cutting-edge tools but also on cultural alignment. Employees must view AI as an augmenting force rather than a complete replacement for human judgment and oversight.
Chantima Chuldang from GoPomelo and Suthatphan Vitoopramankul from PEAK Account further noted shifts in customer expectations toward system integration via AI, while addressing internal challenges such as building employee trust in automated document scanning and processing systems.
"AI is merely a multiplier. If an organization has strong processes and data management, AI will exponentially multiply that success."
Chantima Chuldang
Ultimately, the experts emphasized that achieving exponential growth in the AI era requires robust workflows and accurate data as businesses transition toward Agentic AI systems capable of autonomous execution and strategic planning.
