At 4:00 PM on September 29, 2026, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE), accompanied by Dr. Rawiwan Bhuridej, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, and senior executives, traveled by boat into the flooded Rom Klao 33 community in the Lat Krabang district of Bangkok. The inspection team had to utilize boats as rising floodwaters prevented cars from entering the residential zone.
The mission focused on delivering freshly cooked meals, drinking water, medicines, baby formula, and essential supplies directly to residents stranded in areas inaccessible by vehicles. During the visit, the Environment Minister engaged directly with locals to assess their actual needs and address immediate hardships caused by the inundation.

Based on direct interviews and observations within the Rom Klao community, key shortages identified by residents include clean drinking water, general medicine, anti-diarrheal medication, foot fungus ointments, adult diapers for bedridden patients, and baby formula. Evacuation support for vulnerable residents still trapped in flooded homes remains a high priority.
Direct site visits by high-ranking ministry officials help eliminate bureaucratic delays, allowing field units under the "Unified MONRE" framework to allocate resources precisely where they are needed most during crises, such as specialized medical supplies for bedridden patients that are frequently overlooked in standard relief packages.
