At 22:30 on September 29, 2026, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, accompanied by Minister of Defense General Adul Boonthamcharoen, Secretary-General to the Prime Minister Traisuree Taisaranakul, Permanent Secretary for Interior Arsit Somthirat, and Deputy Permanent Secretary Nirat Phongsitthithavorn, conducted a late-night visit to inspect and distribute relief bags to flood victims at the Baan Eua Arthorn housing project in Khlong Thanon, Bang Khen district, Bangkok.
This visit followed official flood warnings issued for three vulnerable districts in Bangkok. During the inspection, local residents approached the Prime Minister to voice their anxieties, pleading not to be abandoned and expressing fears that the current situation might mirror the devastating floods of 2011. Residents also raised questions regarding support networks, asking whether the situation would differ from previous disasters in Ayutthaya's Bang Ban district, to which assurances were given that authorities would do their absolute best.

Regarding water management and disaster response, the Prime Minister revealed that he has ordered daily morning meetings at 08:00 with relevant agencies to tighten operations. Preparations include mobilizing water pumps and accelerating drainage integration across high-risk zones.

In addition to field inspections and equipment deployment, the Cabinet has greenlit a budget of over 4 billion baht. This funding is secured by pulling resources from non-urgent government projects specifically to aid and compensate flood-affected citizens.
