On September 30, 2026, at 09:35 AM at the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM), Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul spoke after chairing the National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Command meeting regarding the comprehensive flood management system, noting potential risks in all provinces along the water flow path across the central region and surrounding areas.
The Prime Minister stated that a war room has been established to receive situation reports every morning, mirroring the approach used during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Ministry of Public Health, which held daily meetings at 07:00 AM to track developments and promptly authorize support or decisions requested by any province.
