PTT Group has announced a significant high-level executive restructuring, appointing new leadership at two major subsidiaries—Global Power Synergy Public Company Limited (GPSC) and IRPC Public Company Limited (IRPC)—alongside a leadership change for the parent company's Chief Financial Officer position, all taking effect on October 1, 2026.
Regarding GPSC, the company's board of directors held a special meeting, No. 12/2026, on September 25, 2026, resolving to appoint Cherdchai Boonchoochauy as Chief Executive Officer, Director, Board Secretary, and Risk Management Committee Member. He succeeds Vorawat Pittheayut, who completed his term upon reaching retirement age on September 30, 2026.

At IRPC, the board passed a resolution on September 29, 2026, appointing Sirimet Leepagorn as Chief Executive Officer and President, as well as Risk Management Committee Member. He replaces Thodthep Prommool, who stepped down due to retirement as disclosed to the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
Meanwhile, PTT informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand on September 24, 2026, that Patraluda Sa-ngasang concluded her tenure as CFO on September 30, 2026. Chonamas Sasananant has been appointed as the new CFO and highest-ranking executive in accounting and finance, with PTT CEO Kongkrapan Intrajang reporting the disclosure.

Cherdchai Boonchoochauy, the new CEO of GPSC, built his career within PTT's natural gas business line, serving as Senior Executive Vice President of the Natural Gas Business Unit since February 2026 and as a GPSC director since September 2024. He also serves as a director and risk management committee member for PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC). He holds a Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering, a Master of Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Technical Chemistry from Chulalongkorn University.
This executive shuffle within PTT Group highlights a systematic leadership succession plan amid the retirement of senior executives. By leveraging veteran talent from core sectors like natural gas and petrochemicals, PTT aims to ensure continuous strategic growth and operational resilience across its energy subsidiaries.
Sirimet Leepagorn, the incoming CEO of IRPC, previously served as President and Acting Chief Operating Officer of GPSC in 2018. Earlier in his career, he was an Assistant Executive Vice President at IRPC before moving to GPSC in October 2018 as Senior Executive Vice President of Asset Management. He holds an MBA from Burapha University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Chiang Mai University.
