German Unity Day (Tag der Deutschen Einheit), celebrated annually on October 3, marks the official national holiday commemorating the reunification of East and West Germany in 1990 following the fall of the Berlin Wall. Thailand and Germany share diplomatic relations spanning over 160 years, originating from the signing of the Treaty of Amity and Commerce in 1862 during the reign of King Mongkut (Rama IV).
