At 6:00 PM on October 1, 2026, Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Bhumjaithai Party leader Anutin Charnvirakul visited the Bhumjaithai Party kitchen, which prepares meals distributed to flood victims in Bangkok. He was accompanied by PM's Office Minister and party treasurer Supamas Isarabhakdi, who oversees the kitchen operations, alongside several party MPs who participated in food preparation.
Upon arrival, Mr. Anutin greeted citizens waiting to receive food and inspected the field kitchen, which featured fried pork and stir-fried chicken with holy basil. He took matters into his own hands by frying pork, stir-frying chicken, mixing sauces and dark soy sauce, and tasting the dishes over steamed rice.

After tasting the food, Mr. Anutin noted that while the taste was good, he wanted the flavor adjusted slightly more. He advised the cooks to increase the saltiness in every dish, speaking in an Isan accent, "It's not salty enough; it needs to be salty, the other flavors are there but it lacks salt." He then invited Secretary-General to the Prime Minister Traisuree Taisaranakul to join in tasting the food.
A political leader personally preparing meals for disaster victims serves to boost morale and demonstrate hands-on engagement during flood crises. Temporary field kitchens run by political organizations act as crucial supplementary channels for urgent humanitarian relief alongside official government efforts.
The atmosphere at the site was lively, with numerous citizens waiting to collect meals and taking photographs with Mr. Anutin. Some locals also requested that the assistance programs continue through the New Year period to help ease living burdens and support recovery efforts.
