On October 2, 2026, Mr. Sophon Sarum, President of the National Assembly and Speaker of the House of Representatives, serving as the chairman of the "Doing Good for the Father of the Land" club, presided over a press conference for the charity run event titled “Walking-Running to Unite Love, Faith, and Build a Livable City.” The event was attended by Mr. Sak Sarum, a Member of Parliament for Buriram province from the Bhumjaithai Party, along with multi-sector network partners.

The target groups to benefit from the proceeds of this event span broadly from mothers and children, the elderly, and the impoverished, to individuals undergoing drug rehabilitation, aiming to foster strong and self-reliant communities.
"This event focuses on building a collective power among local people across government, local administration, public health, education, civil society, and the private sector to care for target groups."

Regarding financial management, Mr. Sophon disclosed that all proceeds after deducting expenses from shirt sales and registration fees will be allocated directly back to the local areas and established as a "central fund" to drive social welfare initiatives.
Organizing a charity run by mobilizing multi-district and multi-sector cooperation reflects grassroots self-reliance and community network building. This approach helps alleviate state budget burdens while raising awareness of local socio-economic and drug-related issues, encouraging community members to tackle challenges collectively.
Furthermore, the organizing committee has emphasized operational transparency by maintaining clear financial records of income and expenses, ensuring that all supporters and participants can trust that every contribution will be utilized precisely for its intended purpose.
