Following a positive reception of its previous circulating fan, smart home brand SwitchBot is back with the new SwitchBot Battery Circulator Fan 2 Pro. Priced at $119.99, this upgraded model discards the height-adjustable stand of its predecessor in favor of enhanced battery longevity, increased wind throw distance, higher wind speed, and native Matter-over-Wi-Fi connectivity that lets the device integrate directly into your smart home ecosystem without requiring a dedicated SwitchBot Hub.
Engineered for portability, the compact Fan 2 Pro is built to circulate air effortlessly across medium-sized rooms, balconies, or family tents. It packs a substantial 3,600mAh battery capable of delivering up to 70 hours of whisper-quiet cordless operation at 21dB on low speed, or roughly four hours when running at maximum capacity. Users can also extend operational hours further by connecting the device to a USB-C power bank or a larger portable power station.
Designed to move air effectively in any direction, the Fan 2 Pro supports continuous 90-degree oscillation both vertically and horizontally. It boasts the highest maximum wind velocity at 6.5 meters per second (21.3 feet per second) and the longest throw distance of 33.5 meters (110 feet) among all SwitchBot fans to date. Although it moves slightly less total volume at 477 CFM compared to the original model it replaces at 489 CFM, it significantly outperforms the traditional Standing Circulator Fan which caps out at 323 CFM.

For maintenance convenience, the fan blades, filter, along with the front and rear housing components are fully detachable for effortless cleaning, and the unit even includes a built-in nightlight. Availability for the SwitchBot Battery Circulator Fan 2 Pro is currently limited to North America. Meanwhile, versions destined for the UK and Europe will launch at a later date, equipped with a built-in negative ion generator engineered specifically to reduce airborne dust and static electricity.
The widespread industry adoption of native Matter support represents a major shift toward interoperability in the smart home market. By removing the barrier of proprietary hubs, manufacturers are making it dramatically easier for consumers to interconnect devices across platforms like Apple Home, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa, thereby simplifying the user experience and reducing hardware clutter.
