The Ministry of Interior has rolled out 11 urgent measures to manage nationwide flooding, following directives issued by Permanent Secretary for Interior Aphisit Samphanrat in his capacity as Deputy Commander of the National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Command (NDPMC) during a strategic tracking meeting.
Aphisit stated that to ensure flood management runs with maximum efficiency, 11 primary guidelines have been emphasized. The first guideline instructs provincial governors to systematically manage the situation, ranging from temporary shelters and vulnerable group care to electricity and water utilities, as well as the equitable distribution of donated items.

Regarding risk assessment, the second guideline requires provinces to integrate forecasting data and trend analysis into their decision-making processes. They are also instructed to enhance satellite imagery analysis into easily understandable formats for timely public warnings.
Meanwhile, the third guideline specifically mandates provinces facing or at risk of flooding, particularly along major river basins, to establish incident command centers operating 24 hours a day. Furthermore, the fourth guideline directs well-equipped provinces to support other regions with fewer resources.
