Mr. Suphachoke revealed that the Pollution Control Department and the Prachin Buri Provincial Industry Office explained that laboratory test results regarding specific contaminants will be officially released next week. Preliminary findings indicated that the observed grease originated from oil processed at the facility.
Furthermore, the Industry Committee Chairman clarified the legal status of the involved factory, noting it operates as a non-hazardous waste landfill under factory license types 105 and 106. The provincial industry office has already ordered the facility to close and assured the public that materials buried at the site do not fall under hazardous substance regulations.
Regarding complaints submitted by Prachin Buri residents concerning illegal waste dumping and environmental rehabilitation, the committee has consulted with the Department of Industrial Works to formulate remediation guidelines for local communities and residents across the eastern region.
