Delta Air Lines and American Express Global Business Travel announced Wednesday that they are jointly piloting a one-click enrollment feature for Delta SkyMiles and the Fast Track to Medallion Status offer, embedded directly inside Amex GBT's booking tools for participating corporate clients.
The partnership is designed to prompt business travelers to sign up for SkyMiles during the booking process rather than afterward. Under this arrangement, corporate travelers booking their trips through Egencia will be able to enroll in Delta SkyMiles seamlessly.

Meanwhile, customers making bookings through SAP Concur and Amex GBT will have the opportunity to participate in Delta's Fast Track program, which enables business travelers to earn airline status at an accelerated pace. Previously, joining Fast Track typically required travel managers to distribute sign-up links manually.
Both companies noted that these features remain under development, with travelers at participating corporate accounts currently at various stages of testing. Delta highlighted that it is the first Amex GBT partner to evaluate these specific capabilities.
"Both companies are betting that the one-click enrollment capabilities for Delta SkyMiles will boost engagement with business travelers."

Embedding airline loyalty enrollment directly into corporate booking workflows represents a tactical approach to combating leakage, a common issue where business travelers book outside official company channels to chase loyalty status elsewhere. By streamlining status acquisition within managed travel tools, airlines and corporate travel agencies can better retain business travelers within approved networks.
This initiative coincides with robust growth across Delta's loyalty ecosystem. Chief commercial officer Joe Esposito reported an 18% increase in third-quarter loyalty revenue, noting that SkyMiles membership growth is outpacing capacity, alongside a 20% year-over-year rise in combined loyalty and premium revenue. Furthermore, Delta anticipates generating upwards of $9 billion in 2026 from its ongoing partnership with American Express.
