The Prime Minister praised Bank of America for hosting the high-level dialogue and expressed his delight in meeting Richard Quest, CNN’s international business correspondent known for his extensive coverage of global commerce, travel, and Thai culture.
Addressing the theme "A World in Transition," the Prime Minister noted that global shifts are reshaping capital flows and industrial competitiveness. Thailand is responding by turning these transitions into opportunities through three key approaches: maintaining current economic stability, accelerating structural reforms, and investing for the future. He highlighted that Thailand's international reserves stood at approximately 276,000 million US dollars as of September 2026, serving as a vital buffer against external uncertainties.
"The primary goal for Thailand moving forward is to convert investor interest into actual investments within the country, leading to technology transfer, the creation of high-skill jobs, and enhanced opportunities for Thai businesses to participate and grow alongside foreign investment."

The emphasis on translating investment pledges into tangible capital injection underscores Thailand's strategic pivot toward high-value sectors such as digital infrastructure and advanced industries. Achieving this requires not only macroeconomic resilience but also robust regional integration and workforce development to capture shifting global supply chains.
Furthermore, Thailand is collaborating with ASEAN member states to expand financial connectivity, digital payment systems, and energy security. The Prime Minister added that annual meetings of the IMF and World Bank present crucial opportunities to foster multilateral cooperation and mobilize capital for green, sustainable economic development.
