British right-wing political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos has been officially deported from the United States back to the United Kingdom, following confirmation from the Department of Homeland Security regarding his detention by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Yiannopoulos, aged 41, was taken into custody on August 27 immediately after arriving at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. The self-described provocateur previously worked as an editor for Breitbart News and served as a political aide to rapper Kanye West during his presidential campaign bid.
Throughout his career, Yiannopoulos was an early supporter of Donald Trump during the 2016 election cycle, headlining an event called Gays for Trump. Although he has subsequently criticized the former US president for losing his way, he has continued to voice support for various aspects of Trump's overarching political agenda.
"We have got to deport millions and millions of people. Without that, nothing else matters."

The commentator has frequently courted intense controversy over his remarks concerning transgender individuals, Muslims, Black Lives Matter, and feminists. Despite previously identifying as gay, he later began referring to himself as ex-gay. In addition to his work with Kanye West, he also assisted former Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene before her fallout with Trump.
The deportation of a prominent foreign political provocateur like Milo Yiannopoulos underscores the rigorous enforcement actions taken by ICE regarding immigration compliance. It also highlights the bitter factional infighting within right-wing political circles, where high-profile figures frequently leverage social media disputes to influence regulatory and enforcement outcomes against their rivals.
Laura Loomer, a far-right commentator and Trump ally who has engaged in public feuds with Yiannopoulos, publicly took credit for his arrest. She claimed via social media that his flight returning him to the United Kingdom had already departed on Friday night.
