South Africa mass shooting: 11 killed in Durban home

A mass shooting in South Africa has left at least 11 people dead after armed assailants targeted a residential building located near the city of Durban. The violent attack unfolded late on Tuesday inside a house situated in the KwaMakhutha township, shocking local residents and drawing an immediate response from law enforcement agencies.

According to police reports, a group consisting of 13 men and one woman was gathered inside the house for a party when three armed men suddenly arrived and opened fire on them. Ten victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while four others were rushed to a hospital for emergency medical treatment. One of the hospitalized victims later succumbed to their injuries, bringing the total death toll to 11, which includes the female victim who was believed to be pregnant.
