Pisit Apiwatthanapong, a Senator and spokesperson for the Senate's ad-hoc committee whips, has spoken out regarding the opposition parties' continuous two-week campaign targeting the senatorial election process. He pointed out that the opposition has deliberately shaped public opinion by labeling the current Senate as a product of collusion, cheating, and corruption, while attempting to pressure the Election Commission (EC), which is currently handling cases involving 138 senators.
The Senate Whip identified five suspicious elements in the opposition's actions, describing them as coordinated efforts involving disgruntled individuals who failed to secure positions, including alternate senators and former candidates. These groups have released various pieces of evidence such as video clips, financial transactions, airline tickets, and diagrams. Pisit openly questioned whether this evidence was obtained legally and if it aligned with or distorted the EC's official investigation records.
