The Thailand Board of Investment reported that Agoda, the global online accommodation platform under Booking Holdings, has designated Bangkok as its largest regional headquarters and international technology development center worldwide. The local workforce exceeds 4,500 permanent employees focusing on software engineering, artificial intelligence algorithms, and data analytics.
On October 6, 2026, Narit Therdsteerasukdi, Secretary General of the BOI, visited Agoda Services Limited and held discussions with Chief Executive Officer Omri Morgenshtern along with the executive team at the One Bangkok building. The Thai headquarters occupies seven floors covering a total area of over 30,000 square meters within the mixed-use development.
According to the BOI, key factors driving this investment include Thailand's ready pool of high-skilled talent across information technology, engineering, and data analytics. This combines seamlessly with an inclusive corporate culture that brings together international professionals from over 80 countries working collaboratively in Bangkok.

Beyond internal operations, Agoda actively connects with educational institutions to nurture young talent through initiatives like Tech Camp Day, held three times annually for over 100 students per session. Additionally, the company runs an internship program accepting more than 500 students each year from over 10 universities, with over 20 percent of interns subsequently securing full-time employment.
The establishment of a major technological stronghold by a global enterprise in Thailand underscores growing confidence in local digital infrastructure and human capital. Knowledge transfer facilitated by international experts and streamlined government services plays a pivotal role in strengthening the nation's long-term competitive edge.
"Working in a global technology company allows Thai personnel to learn standards, tools, and methodologies from international team members."
Omri Morgenshtern, Chief Executive Officer of Agoda
Narit added that such investments not only lay down robust digital economic foundations but also bridge young professionals into the international technology arena, fostering a professional network essential for future innovation and sustainable economic growth.
